Paul Boyd’Äôs hit musical comedy Macbeth The Musical was first produced in 1992. Since then he has written a further seventeen multi award-nominated stage musicals that have been presented in professional productions around the world, including the hit shows Alice The Musical, Pinocchio, Hansel & Grettel, The Haunting of Helena Blunden, and McCool. He is also known as the composer and co-creator of the internationally acclaimed water spectaculars The Little Mermaid and Sinbad and as the writer of countless scores, soundtracks, scripts, and songs for other professional productions staged across Europe, Asia, and the USA. In 2009 Paul returned to the stage to create the role of The Writer in the hit stage comedy Spike Milligan’Äôs Puckoon, a show that he also co-wrote and scored. The production enjoyed a sell-out tour across Ireland and returned in 2011 for a second tour and a run in London’Äôs West End. In 2011 Paul directed his new musical comedy Molly Wobbly’Äôs Tit Factory for the Lyric Theatre Belfast - the show is now set to return, previewing at the Lyric from 20th July prior to a run at the Assembly Rooms for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
